The kind of work we take on
Most of what we build falls into one of two shapes. Either a founder or operator is trying to get a credible version of a product into the market fast, with senior hands on every layer of the stack — or an established business is asking us to carry the technology and data functions they'd otherwise have to hire twelve people to run in-house. Both lean on the same skillset. Both get the same team.
We've shipped greenfield platforms for pre-launch SaaS, rebuilt Shopify stores with full CI/CD and accessibility compliance, migrated legacy Magento and SAP-integrated B2B into Shopify Plus, decomposed 779-column legacy databases into modern schemas, and served at board level as CTO and Director of Analytics across a seven-year VC-backed growth story. The scope moves. The team doesn't.
The work spans the whole lifecycle. A product starts as a prototype in Figma and a rough commercial model on a whiteboard. It becomes a scoped MVP, then a live product with real users, then a platform with billing, compliance, and analytics behind it. Then it scales — more integrations, more teams, more regulatory weight — until the question stops being "can we build it" and starts being "is this still the right architecture for where we're going". We've been paid to answer every one of those questions in the same engagement before.
The clients below are the ones we've worked with long enough to point you at publicly. Our Vanarama engagement ran seven years and ended at a £200m acquisition by AutoTrader UK Plc. Our mdlondon relationship has now covered the core platform, a custom business-intelligence suite, and a conversational AI product. Our work with Coolkit has spanned CRM, reporting, and legacy database modernisation. The pattern we like is the one where the first engagement earns the second, third, and fourth.
That continuity matters. Most of what hurts during a rebuild or replatform is lost context — the decisions no one wrote down, the constraints no one remembers, the integrations that nobody owns. Staying in the code for years means we don't lose that context between phases, and clients don't pay to rediscover it every time the roadmap moves.

Board-level CTO and Director of Analytics leadership across a seven-year engagement, two VC funding rounds, and a strategic acquisition by AutoTrader UK Plc. In-house technology and product function scaled from a single engineer to a team of thirty-plus, with a hybrid offshore model giving the business access to specialised skills without the cost of a full senior in-house function.
Custom Shopify platform with 76 automated tests at mdlondon
Horizon — a custom Shopify theme built from scratch for premium D2C hair-styling-tools brand mdlondon. WCAG 2.1 AA compliant, three-environment CI/CD pipeline, and 36 visual regression snapshots protecting brand integrity on every deploy. Extended into a bespoke business-intelligence suite and a production conversational AI product over subsequent engagements.
End-to-end AI SaaS platform shipped for UpGrades
Five user roles, sixty-seven application pages, a 65,000-school outreach database, and seven-plus integrated AI capabilities — built from blank brief to live commercial product with real billing, real compliance, and real users. A multi-role education SaaS designed, built, and shipped as our own product inside a single programme.

Legacy schema mapped, migrated, and re-normalised — unlocking modern integrations, clean reporting, and CRM automation for a commercial vehicle conversion manufacturer without downtime on the operational business. Sat alongside a full CRM implementation with automated lead routing, follow-up sequences, and real-time pipeline visibility.
