How a construction firm stopped re-keying its own business

CGS Construction is a construction firm based in Hemel Hempstead. We started with their website. The work has grown from there, one piece at a time.

What we built, in order

01. Website

A new website

We designed and rebuilt cgs-construction.com, the firm's public website.

02. Quoting

A quoting tool

An online quoting tool for the firm's work.

03. Finance

Finance automation

An invoice dashboard linked to Xero. Supplier bills are filed from the mailbox, matched to purchase orders and coded, instead of being keyed in by hand.

04. Retainer

A CTO who stays

Now a monthly retainer: ongoing technical support, and rolling out Claude with training for the team.

Why it grew

Each piece earned the next. Same people, same trust. CGS started with a website. Then came the quoting tool, then finance, and now we stay on as their technical lead.

That is how we like to work: start small, prove it, and stay after the build.
