1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to the website owners.

2. How We Use Cookies

Rogue Digital ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar browser storage to count visits, see where our visitors come from, and measure our advertising on Google and LinkedIn.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you allow analytics and advertising cookies. "Accept" switches on the Google and LinkedIn cookies described below. "Decline", or not choosing, keeps them off. One choice covers both analytics and advertising.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

Google Analytics 4 loads on every page and uses Google Consent Mode in its advanced setting. Before you accept, and if you decline, Google's analytics and advertising storage is switched off and Google sets no cookies. The tag still sends Google cookieless pings that contain the time, your browser's user agent, the referrer, a flag showing whether an ad click identifier was in the page address, your consent state and, as with any request to Google's servers, your IP address. Google says Google Analytics does not store or log IP addresses, and uses these pings for aggregated and modelled reporting.

If you click "Accept", Google Analytics sets cookies, and Google is told that you agree to advertising storage, use of your data for advertising, and ad personalisation. That lets Google Ads link a form you send us back to the Google ad you came from.

• _ga: distinguishes visitors. Google's default lifetime is two years.
• _ga_<container-id>: keeps session state. Google's default lifetime is two years.
• _gcl_aw (cookie) and _gcl_ls (local storage): Google's record of the Google ad click you arrived from, if any. Kept for 90 days.

LinkedIn Insight Tag

The LinkedIn Insight Tag loads only after you click "Accept". It lets us measure the results of LinkedIn advertising and build audiences for LinkedIn retargeting. LinkedIn may set cookies such as bcookie, lidc, li_sugr, UserMatchHistory, AnalyticsSyncHistory and li_fat_id. Their purposes and lifetimes are listed in LinkedIn's cookie table.

Plausible Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate visit counts. It loads for all visitors, sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

Other Storage in Your Browser

Our own pages keep a few small values in your browser:

• rd_gclid (local storage): if you arrive from a Google ad and click "Accept", the ad's click identifier (gclid, wbraid or gbraid), kept for up to 90 days. If you later send us a form, it goes with your enquiry so we can tell which ad led to it. Without "Accept" it is not stored, and declining deletes it.
• rd_utm (session storage): the campaign tags (such as utm_source) on the link you arrived from, so a form you send tells us which campaign brought you. Cleared when you close the tab.
• rd_subscriber (local storage): set after you send us a form, download a resource or open a link from one of our emails, so we show you different buttons on later visits.
• rd_exit_intent_dismissed_at (local storage): remembers when you closed our "before you go" card, so it does not keep appearing.
• miniAudit:<name> (session storage): keeps your answers while you work through one of our short self-assessments. Cleared when you close the tab.
• exp_magnet_cta_v1 (cookie, 30 days): on resource pages, remembers which of two versions of the download button you were shown in a test.

4. Managing Cookies

To change your choice, delete the rogue_consent cookie for roguedigital.ai in your browser settings and reload the page. The banner will ask again.

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or accept cookies, delete existing cookies, and set preferences for certain websites.
