Speed-to-lead: every enquiry answered in seconds
Speed-to-lead answers each enquiry within seconds and hands it to a named person with the answers attached. On our own form the reply reached the inbox 1.38 seconds after send (timed test, 20 October 2026). It suits owner-led firms that live on enquiries. Try it: send us an enquiry and time our reply.
Key takeaways
- On our own enquiry form, the reply reached the enquirer's inbox 1.38 seconds after they pressed send, in a timed test on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
- It answers, asks your first questions, books the call and hands each enquiry to a named person. It gives no quotes and no regulated advice.
- You can test it yourself on our form before you decide anything.
What it does, and what it does not
It answers each new enquiry at once, day or night, on the channels agreed at setup: your web form, email and chat, and voice where agreed.
- Asks the two or three questions your team would ask, so the lead arrives qualified.
- Books the call or viewing into your calendar or CRM.
- Hands every enquiry to a named person with the answers attached, so a human picks it up.
- After setup, is kept live, monitored and tuned each month, with a monthly summary of enquiries handled.
What it does not do: it gives no regulated advice, no quotes and no credit decisions. It does not replace the person who closes the sale.
The measured test
On our own enquiry form at roguedigital.ai, the reply reached the enquirer's inbox 1.38 seconds after they pressed send. This was our first timed test on the live form, on Tuesday 20 October 2026 at 08:00 BST, out of hours. We measured from the form being submitted to the email provider's delivered event. Across 10 timed tests from 20 to 22 October 2026, the median was 1.52 seconds and the slowest 2.94 seconds.

How it works
- Someone fills in your form, sends an email or starts a chat.
- They get a reply within seconds, in your name, that thanks them and asks the few questions you would ask.
- Their answers and any booking go straight to you or the right person, as one tidy record.
- You call them back while they are still thinking about you.
On our own site the reply is a fixed, checked message, not written by AI on the fly. The questions come next, on a short page. That keeps it fast and means it never says something we would not.
Who it suits
- Car dealers, leasing firms and finance brokers, where an enquiry left until morning can be lost to whoever replied first.
- Trades, construction and local service firms whose owner is on site all day.
- Any owner-led firm getting enquiries after hours or at weekends with nobody to answer them.
Who it does not suit
- Firms whose enquiries need regulated advice in the first reply.
- Firms with a sales desk that already answers within minutes.
Why speed matters
Harvard Business Review published this research in March 2011: Oldroyd, McElheran and Elkington, "The Short Life of Online Sales Leads". The authors audited 2,241 US companies by sending each a web-generated test lead. 37% responded within an hour, 24% took more than 24 hours and 23% never responded at all. Among the companies that did respond within 30 days, the average response time was 42 hours.
In a separate study of 1.25 million sales leads, firms that tried to contact a lead within an hour were nearly seven times as likely to qualify it as firms that tried even an hour later, and more than 60 times as likely as firms that waited 24 hours or longer. The authors counted a lead as qualified when it led to a meaningful conversation with a key decision maker.
These are US firms and 2011 figures. They show the pattern, not a promise for your firm. For the longer read, see why lead response time matters.

Send an enquiryFrequently asked questions
- Does it work out of hours and at weekends?
- Yes. The reply is automatic, so it does not wait for anyone to be at a desk. It runs on the channels agreed at setup, such as your web form, email or chat, and voice where agreed. The timed test on this page ran at 08:00 on a Tuesday, before the working day. After the reply, a named person picks the enquiry up.
- Will it give prices or advice?
- No. It does not give quotes, regulated advice or credit decisions. It thanks the enquirer, asks the questions your team would ask, books the call or viewing, and hands the answers to a person. The person gives the price or the advice.
- What happens after the first reply?
- A person picks it up. Each enquiry goes to a named person with the answers attached, as one tidy record, so you can call back while the enquirer is still thinking about you. After setup we keep it live and tune it each month, with a monthly summary of enquiries handled.
