The Challenge

UpGrades needed a public front door that could rank for the way UK students, parents, and schools actually search for GCSE and A-Level revision, then convert that demand into sign-ups, without diluting the product app it sits beside.

The Solution

We designed and built a separate Astro 5 marketing and content site, the public www.upgrades.app, with a programmatic-SEO layer covering every subject and exam board, a full editorial content engine, free revision tools, and audience-tailored conversion paths that funnel into the app.

A Front Door for Our Own Product

UpGrades is Rogue Digital’s own EdTech product: an AI-powered adaptive revision platform for UK GCSE and A-Level students. The app at app.upgrades.app proves the build. This site, the public www.upgrades.app, is its demand-capture front door: a separate Astro 5 codebase whose job is to rank for the way students, parents, and schools actually search, then convert them into sign-ups.

Programmatic SEO at Scale

We built a programmatic layer that fans 66 source templates out into 647 static pages. Every subject gets exam-board-specific routes across GCSE, A-Level, iGCSE, and International A-Level, covering all six boards: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, Cambridge International, and Edexcel International. Around them sit exam-board hubs, competitor comparison pages, grade-boundary pages with a live grade calculator, and how-to-revise guides for every level and subject. Question counts on each subject page are wired live from the platform’s Convex data, so the marketing site always reflects the real product.

An Editorial and Resource Engine

The site runs a full content operation: 60 blog posts with categories, tags, and author pages, plus 61 subject guides, all behind an editorial-process and safeguarding trust layer. Free tools give students a reason to arrive and return: exam timetables by year, formula sheets, a past-paper finder, a revision-timetable builder, and specification lookups. astro-seo, sitemaps, satori-generated OG images, and Plausible plus Google Analytics complete the technical SEO foundation.

Audience-Tailored Conversion

Three landing pages speak to distinct audiences: for-students, for-parents, and for-schools (which addresses teachers and administrators). Resend-backed contact and waitlist forms and every primary call to action hand off cleanly to app.upgrades.app for sign-up.

The Result

A distinct, independently deployed site of 647 pages that captures GCSE and A-Level revision search intent and funnels it into the product, built and shipped by the same team that built the app.
